There is a chance if the data area hasn't been written over with the new
install.
Try a [program called Tiramisu , I think its called on-track desktop bundle
now.
You expand it onto a floppy which you then boot to.
I think there is a free trial which will show you the files, but not
recover. Then you pay for it and it will do the recovery.
It does need a second drive to do the back up to, and it doesn't actually
physically change the initial drive so you wont screw up your new install.
It takes quite a while as it actually reconstructs the files from the data
area, not the fat tables.
Best combine the two options..
Leave it running, and then have the stiff gins :)
