RE: FN-FORUM: Online editor using css classes?
date posted 14th May 2004 15:44
I've used Innova Studio a lot (it's predecessor was Advanced Content
Editor) - http://www.innovastudio.com/
Can be set to output standards compliant XHTML and you can set styles
available to the client. It's also very flexible in terms of
restricting functionality.
Only works with IE5.5+ on Windows.
One really nice thing is the royalty free issue. You can use it as many
times as you like so long as you don't try and market it and sell it as
a content editor only.
I've tried using a number of these editors and it's the best I've used
(in my opinion). OK - it's not cross browser compatible, but if it's
part of a CMS back-end you can define the access rules for that anyway.
Mail me off list if you need any more info.

Is anyone familiar with such a system that would allow me to set-up a
predefined set of stylesheet classes that the client can choose from
when 'designing' his pages?
