I guess I should read forum mail before private mail in future ;)

For everyone's edification: they were Mac MSIE 'web archive' files which
include the graphic elements on a page. File type WAFF if that means
anything to PC users. I am unsure of x-platform compatibility of those files
so I saved them as straight html. I'd imagine that Em would have seen a lot
of garbage characters viewing in word pad due to the graphics being embedded
in the file.
